Privacy Policy

Shaadi Sheets (“we”, “us”) is an online wedding planner for multi-day South Asian weddings. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, password (stored only in encrypted form), and optionally your phone number and location.
- Your wedding plan: what you add to Shaadi Sheets, such as your partner’s name, events and dates, guest names and contact details, budgets, vendors, notes and files. Guest details are entered by you or by your guests through forms you share with them.
- Giveaway entries: your name, email, the time you entered, your confirmation that you are 19 or older and live in Ontario, that you agreed to the rules, whether you asked for planning tips and offers, and which link or QR code you used. For email entries, what you include in your email.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive your plan, payment status and any discount code used. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage information: pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location from your IP address, collected through cookies and similar tools to keep the service working and to improve it.
How we use it
- To provide your account and planning tools, including the AI planning assistant.
- To run giveaways: to check eligibility, count entries, contact the winner and award the prize.
- To send service emails you need, such as account confirmations, your giveaway entry confirmation, trial and billing notices, and replies to your questions.
- To send planning tips, news and offers, only if you have agreed to receive them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to stop them.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems and understand how it is used.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run Shaadi Sheets, and only as much as they need to do that work:
- Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage) and Vercel (website hosting)
- Stripe (payments)
- MailerSend, Resend and MailerLite (sending email)
- Anthropic and OpenAI (the AI planning assistant and design tools process the requests you make to them)
- Google (maps and address search, and website analytics) and Microsoft Clarity (website analytics on our public pages)
If you win a giveaway, we share your name and contact details with the prize supplier so the prize can be arranged. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and wedding plan for as long as your account exists. If your free trial or subscription ends, your plan is kept so you can pick up where you left off. You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings, which removes your plan and account information. Giveaway entry records are kept for one year after the draw so we can answer questions about the contest, then deleted.
Your choices and rights
- See, correct or download the information we hold about you.
- Withdraw consent to marketing email at any time.
- Delete your account.
- Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you are not satisfied with how we handle your information.

Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and our providers’ security measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you don’t use elsewhere.
Children
Shaadi Sheets is meant for adults planning a wedding. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and giveaways are open only to people aged 19 and over.
Changes to this policy
If we make a significant change, we will update the date above and tell account holders by email or in the app.
